Smudge Pig is a firm believer in the subtle art of doing as little as possible. Effort? What's the point! A leisurely stroll around the garden, a quick nod to the daffodil beds, and perhaps a polite chat with a daisy—that's quite enough for the day!
He is often seen, in the company of Smudge Lamb, "supervising" the gardening work... which, in reality, mostly consists of dozing near the vegetable garden, while slipping in a few words of encouragement from time to time.
Nothing makes Smudge Pig happier than a perfectly clear calendar. For her, there's no rush, as long as there's a sunny spot to stretch out in and a few friends to chat with. (Pig)
